Kuzey Star Has Begun Ship Conversion Projects

Kuzey Star Shipyard has initiated its first conversion project. Within this scope, the shipyard has started the conversion project of the 86-meter-long and 18-meter-wide offshore service vessel named Grip Marine, built in 2012 and currently serving in Norway, into a Live Fish Carrier (Wellboat). During the conversion process of the Grip Marine, which was built 9 years ago as an offshore support vessel, 255 tons of pipes, including galvanized, stainless steel, and fish pipes, will be laid and mounted with special couplings. Installation of an ozone oxygen system, RSW (Refrigerated Sea Water) system, RO (Reverse Osmosis) system, and Vacuum chamber system will be carried out on the vessel. Additionally, two units of movable partitions made of 20 tons of stainless steel will be installed. The vessel will also feature up to 200 electrical cabinets and 8 units of 3500 cbm main circulation system pumps."
