The construction of the giant floating pool project, conducted by Kuzey Star Shipyard for the Russian Atomflot company, has reached its final stages. Started with a steel-cutting ceremony in 2021, the construction, initially planned to take 29 months, was completed in 23 months, and the floating pool met the sea. The floating pool, measuring 220 meters in length and 48 meters in width, weighs 11,000 tons and has a carrying capacity of 30,000 tons. Designed to withstand Arctic conditions, the NB-110 floating pool will be used for the maintenance and repairs of nuclear icebreakers.
