The 200-meter-long Ro-Ro vessel ordered by the Russian FSUE Rosmorport company for use on the Ust-Luga-Baltiysk route was launched today at a ceremony. The vessel, named Marshal Rokossovsky, will also be the first Ro-Ro vessel in Russia to operate with LNG. It will be capable of transporting automobiles, trucks, trailers, and wagons.
Marshal Rokossovsky is expected to be delivered in the first quarter of 2021, while the construction of the second Ro-Ro vessel for the same company, named General Chernyakhovsky, is still underway at Kuzey Shipyard.
